Insurance Information:
Most PPO and some POS insurance plans cover midwifery care and out of hospital birth. The insurance company will reimburse you at the out-of-network rate but we are sometimes successful in helping you get our fees covered at the in-network rate. Our insurance billing staff will be happy to discuss insurance benefits with you and help you do an insurance verification. (Insurance billing is done by an outside service for a nominal fee). We are sorry but Ancient Paths Midwifery is not a MediCal provider.
“My husband balked at the cost of a homebirth (compared to our ‘free’ HMO hospital birth) but now he tells everyone that it’s worth every penny. The cost of being in such loving, competent hands is priceless!”
